(Mental Health Conversations): LAUREN DAVIDSON

Contributor’s Note:  Out of Nashville is a rising country music star that also mixes singer/songwriter vibes.  Lauren Davidson is riding the wave of success with her EP entitled “Love Ain’t Fair” including the hot single “Halfway To Hungover”, which is featured on Spotify’s New Music Nashville, The Women of Country, YEP Nashville, and Whiskey Riff playlists via Spotify.  PopWrapped had this to say about Lauren Davidson:

“Blending New York City vibes with the rich tones of contemporary country music, she has created a genre all her own, and audiences just can’t get enough”

In this mental health conversation with Madness To Creation, Lauren Davidson discusses the year 2020, her single “Halfway To Hungover” and her creation “Urban Country Jam”.  Fans can find Lauren Davidson at the following locations:

Madness To Creation:  I love the swagger and attitude behind “Halfway To Hungover”, take us into this foot stomping hand clapping jam!

Lauren Davidson:  Thank you!!! Halfway to Hungover is about drinking to forget.  We wanted it to feel sexy and ominous but also emote that heartache.

Madness To Creation:  What’s the mindset when Lauren steps into the studio?

Lauren Davidson:  Total focus.  I love to get lost in the work and the music and of course make the song the best it can be but I also like to have fun and enjoy the process.

Madness To Creation:  Three biggest reasons why you got into music?

Lauren Davidson:  Love, Passion, and Destiny.

Madness To Creation:  What’s your favorite moment to date in music?

Lauren Davidson:  Being able to release music in general is so special.  Im so honored that people actually care to listen but my favorite career moment to date was playing Madison Square Garden at the beginning of the year.

Madness To Creation:  How have you adjusted in terms of promoting your music due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

Lauren Davidson:  It been interesting promoting music and releasing music without playing shows but Ive been trying to connect with fans anyway I can by doing live streams and virtual concerts and keep releasing music that is special and authentic to me.

Madness To Creation:  We cover mental health awareness at Madness To Creation, what are some things that help you through the difficult times?

Lauren Davidson:  Working out and staying organized are big ones for me to clear my mind and then to feel on top of things.  Also taking time and rest and listen to my mind and body is really important.

Madness To Creation:  Tell us about Urban Country Jam, any preparations you’re making when Covid is over for that?

Lauren Davidson:  Urban Country Jam is a mini festival that features emerging country artists.  We’ve been so fortunate to bring UCJ to the Virtual space for the time being – and have an ongoing GoFundMe campaign so we can compensate artists involved during these difficult times.  We are definitely looking at future plans and I can not wait until we can get back into live music venues in a safe and meaningful way.

Madness To Creation:  What’s next for Lauren Davidson?

Lauren Davidson:  This is such a funny question – I cant believe this Love Aint Fair EP if officially out!  I have a few things up my sleeve to celebrate the release and the holiday season as we wrap up 2020 and you can bet more music for 2021!

Madness To Creation:  You’ve also released the lyric video for “Going Nowhere”, take us into that song, and what’s the message behind it?

Lauren Davidson:  Its a breakup song about that moment a relationship ends out of nowhere,  I’ve been on both sides of that story and it was special to express that through this song.

Madness To Creation:  What else would you like to add?
