Editor’s Note:  Welcome to this special fourth weekend of December edition of Weekend Brunch Edition Weekly News and Spotify Playlist via Madness To Creation! This playlist theme is “ICYM Year-End Edition”. The air is crisp, and people are getting stressed out knowing that the holidays are right around the corner.  As we have been crazy busy with our work weeks, we are celebrating the weekend!  We crack open some eggs, fry up some steak, and enjoy some brunch.  But wait, we missed out some music news and you might be wanting some new music to check out!  Well, Madness To Creation is your hookup, holler if you hear us!  #SorryScottSteiner  So, after you put away the Halloween decorations, sit back and relax and enjoy this weekly Spotify playlist. It is broken down into the following categories:

  1.  Meat & Taters:  This is where the heavy hitters come in to play.  The main course if you will.  Chances are you’ve heard of this group.
  2.  Light & Fluffy:  This is where a band/artist might come off on the lighter side of music.  Where you might have a potato pancake with the glass of OJ.
  3.  Tailgate:  Because you can’t wait til lunch or supper so these bands/artists get you in the mood to tailgate and party over brunch.
  4.  On The Side:  These bands/artists are brand new(well to us anyways) and you might put a little on the saucer to give it a try before diving into the meat & taters!

Meat & Taters:

  1.  Metal giants Asking Alexandria gave their fans a post-Christmas surprise by releasing the deluxe version entitled “LP5 DLX”.  The deluxe version includes a remix with Hyro The Hero along with a Sirius XM live performance and acoustic and remix versions of their smash hit “Alone In A Room”.  Fans can check out the music video for “Alone In A Room” here.
  2. Legendary jam band The Disco Biscuits have released a live cover of “Rapture” by Blondie.  Fans can check out the live stream here.  The Disco Biscuits are performing every night for the rest of the year at Playstation Theater in New York City.
  3. Legendary composer/Elvis Costello keyboardist Steve Nieve announces short tour.  The tour will kick off January 5th at Casbah in San Diego, California and wrap up on January 18th at Largo in Los Angeles, California.
  4. Australian rockers Airbourne have announced “The Boneshaker Tour”.  The tour will kick off on April 30th at Gramercy Theatre in New York City and wrap up on May 23rd at Corona Theatre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  Check out the video for “Backseat Boogie” here.
  5.  Mosey, which is the solo project of Dan Pawlovich of Panic! At The Disco released the holiday single “If Christmas Didn’t Exist”.  All proceeds from Bandcamp will go towards charity from the Know Hope Records Bandcamp page.  Check out the single here.
  6. Clint Lowery(Sevendust) have released the music video for “Alive” off of January 31st release “God Bless The Renegades”.  Fans can check out the music video here and Clint Lowery will be providing support for Alter Bridge starting February 8th at War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
  7. Hip-hop artist Young Thug have released the music video for “Boy Back”.  The music video features Nav and “The London” is up for a Grammy nomination for best “Rap/Sung” performance.
  8. Hip-hop artist Fetty Wap have released the music video for “Fresh N Clean” for upcoming 2020 release “King Zoo.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  9. Me And That Man releases music video for “Burning Churches”.  Fans can check out the music video here, which features Mat McNerney of Beastmilk.
  10. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker soundtrack is officially out now!  The movie score features John Williams as composer.
  11. The movie soundtrack for “Togo:  The Untold Story” is out now.  Check out the score featuring Mark Isham.
  12. The vinyl soundtrack for Jojo Rabbit is out now.  Fans can check out the soundtrack via Amazon here.
  13. Latina artist Tini have released a live music video for “Diciembre”.  Fans can check out the video here.
  14. Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May have released a special message for “Thank God It’s Christmas”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  15. Star Wars themed Galactic Empire have released the music video for “The Rise of Shredi”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  16. Hip-hop duo HL Wave & Jhonny Flames have released the music video for “Gordon Ramsay”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  17. KITTEN recently released their EP entitled “Goodbye Honeymoon Phase”.  Fans can check out their Netflix special here.

  19. Grammy nominated artist A Bad Think surpasses the one million view mark for “Feel Me”.  The album entitled “The Savior” is up for a Grammy award for “Best Immersive Audio Album”.  Fans can check out the video here.
  20. Tom Keifer(Cinderella) will be touring the United Kingdom and Europe in 2020.  Tour kicks off July 17th in Buckley, England and wraps up on August 3rd in Telfs, Austria.  Fans can check out the video for “Rise” here.
  21. Falling In Reverse announces “The Drug In Me Is Gold” tour with Escape The Fate and The Word Alive.  The tour kicks off February 8th in San Antonio and wraps up March 3rd in Sacramento.  Fans can check out the music video for “Popular Monster” here.

Light & Fluffy:

  1.  Singer/songwriter Gab De La Vega featuring Nicola Manzan have released the music video for “Perfect Texture” for upcoming release “Beyond Space and Time”, which is due out January 24th via Epidemic Records.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  2.  Singer/songwriter Harris Breyfogle has released his single for “Angela”.  Fans can check out the AM Radio/funky single here.
  3.  PureGrainAudio premiered the music video for “Unpredictable” by Calloway Circus.  Fans can check out the music video here for February 14th release entitled “Entropy”.
  4.  The Wild Honey Pie premieres the music video for “Honeybody” by Nu Deco Ensemble featuring Kishi Bashi.  Fans can check out the music video here .  Nu Deco Ensemble is a hybrid orchestra that offers reimaginations of all genres, and they’ve collaborated with Wyclef Jean, PJ Morton, Hurray For The Riff Raff, Robert Glasper and Rev Run.
  5. Joywave released the 3D claymation video for “Blank Slate”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  6. Indie pop artist Patternist releases music video for “Feature’s Dead Angela”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  7. LA based singer/songwriter Elodie Reverie has released her music video for “Golden Ghosts”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  8. Heart Bones, duo composed of Har Mar Superstar and A Giant Dog, will be releasing “Hot Dish” on February 21st.  They will be kicking off their tour on February 14th in St. Paul, Minnesota and wrapping up April 20th in Austin, Texas.  Fans can check out the video/single for “Open Relations” here.
  9. Young Culture will be providing support for Have Mercy on their final tour.  Tour kicks off on February 5th in Boston and ends March 20th in Baltimore.  Fans can check out “21 Days” music video here.
  10. Singer songwriter Elise Lieberth has released the single for “Forgive”.  Her album “Invincible” is due out January 31st.  Fans can check out the single here.

Tailgate:

  1.  The Picturebooks will be beginning their headlining tour on January 4th in San Diego, California.  Then, they will be providing direct support for British Lion on January 18th in Orlando, Florida.  Check out their music video for “The Hands of Time” here.
  2. Power metal band Victorious will be releasing “Space Ninjas From Hell” on January 17th.  Check out the lyric video for “Shuriken Showdown” here.
  3. Los Angeles hardcore band Arcline have released the music video for “Scorpion”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  4. PureGrainAudio premieres the lyric video for “Acid Flame” by Danny De La Rosa.  “12 Weekends” is due out early 2020 and fans can check out the premiere here.
  5. Thrash kings Power Trip have released their cover of “When Things Go Wrong” by The Outburst.  Fans can check out the cover here.

  10. Sleep On It have had a killer 2019 and are riding the wave of momentum with a headlining tour commencing February 28th in Toronto and concluding March 28th in Chicago.  Fans can check out the music video for “After Tonight” here.

  1.  GhostCult Magazine premieres the music video for “A Demon’s Pawn and the Abyss” by Edmonton’s Sleepwraith.  Fans can check out the premiere here.  Their upcoming album “Day Terrors” is due out January 17th.
