Zander Converses with Madness To Creation on Coldplay, the Environment, and Working with Bernz!

Editor’s Note:  It was certainly fun catching up with Zander based on his wonderful EP “Sunshine State Of Mind”.  Zander has an uncanny ability to mix soul, funk, r&b, and a whole lot of reggae into his eclectic sound.  Zander’s music is a call for peace throughout the world and I strongly believe that Zander utilizes his environmental activism in order to tell whoever is listening to start taking care of Earth.  Fans can find Zander at the following locations:

Madness To Creation:  Favorite place to perform in Miami.

Zander:  Bougainvilleas in South Miami. It’s got a fun/house party vibe!

Madness To Creation:  You have some dates coming up for Daytona Beach, what do fans expect from your show?

Zander:  Yes, looking forward to them! They’ll be related to the Daytona Beach Week surf contest. Fans expect a high energy and spontaneous show. A little dance party!

Madness To Creation:  So did Coldplay ever react to your cover that garnered a ton of hits?

Zander:  They did not. That would have been great to get some feedback from them!

Madness To Creation:  What would be one adventure of a lifetime you were to go on?  Dream vacation.

Zander:  I’ve seen some beautiful beaches. From the Caribbean, South America, Australia and Europe. I would love to see Hawaii and some of the other Pacific Islands in person. Maybe play a gig or two while out there!

Madness To Creation:  Love the vibes in this album. time for questions relating to your song titles, are you ready?

Zander:  Si, gracias!

Madness To Creation:  What are some things that make you feel RIGHT HERE in the moment?

Zander:  God’s creation. A beautiful sunrise on the beach always puts things in perspective.

Madness To Creation:  Rock Steady was a badass villain in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, yet your song is so anthemic, take us into that song.

Zander:  I like your comments. Fun!  I wrote Rock Steady while on tour in South America. They love their ska music down there, as well as retro rock music. I wanted to capture that energy with this track!

Madness To Creation:  Florida is known as the Sunshine State, favorite thing about Florida and tell us about your collab with Bernz!

Zander:  The ocean all the way! I love the beaches. Diving. It’s a beautiful place. Bernz is in the talented hip hop group, ¡Mayday! He definitely added an edge to the song. Took it to another level!

Madness To Creation:  Most embarrassing or dumbest thing that makes you yell “I’m Out”!

Zander:  I really can’t say! I don’t get embarrassed too easily. If something doesn’t feel right or there is some negativity involved, “I’M OUT”!!!

Madness To Creation:  OCEAN FLOOR has a lot of sea creatures, what can we do to protect our sea creatures?

Zander:  Please don’t litter. It’s so simple to just throw your trash away. I’ve had many moments where I walk out on the beach and I see it trashed. Makes me want to cry. Not right!

Madness To Creation:  Thanks for putting up with these questions, giving you the floor to talk about Zander or anything that we did not cover in regards to the album.

Zander:  Please give me a follow on Instagram @zanderwaves. I love interacting with fans and learning from them. It’s a beautiful world!

And there you have it!  Add “Sunshine State Of Mind” by Zander to your Spotify playlist!

On Thursday, August 23rd, Zander will be performing a gig at Park City Mountain in Park City, Utah.  For tickets and further information, click here.
