Capture has a very exciting journey ahead and can’t wait to show you what’s in store.
Australia-based band, Capture originally formed in early 2010 as Capture the Crown. The group released its debut single, “You Call That a Knife? This Is a Knife!,” promoting the video through their YouTube channel and reaching five million views within a year. Three more successful singles followed in 2012, and the band traveled to the U.S. to record its debut LP, ‘Til Death, at revered metal producer Cameron Mizell’s Chango Studios (The Word Alive, For All Those Sleeping, A Skylit Drive) in Florida. In 2013, the group released a new single called “All Hype, All Night” and went on their first headlining tour, as well as embarking on high-profile treks with the likes of Of Mice and Men, Chelsea Grin, Every Time I Die, and Story of the Year, all the while steadily building up a reputation as a dominant live act and band to watch.
Later 2013, Capture the Crown crowd-funded their independent Live Life EP. Immediately following the EP’s release, the band hit the studio with producers Tyler Larson and Matt Good (From First to Last) to record new music. Soon after, they signed with Artery Recordings and released their sophomore full-length, Reign of Terror, which hit #86 on the Billboard Heat Seekers chart. The album represents the tumultuous nature of their lifestyle at the time and serves as a snapshot of the proverbial hell the band experienced. They effectively capture the chaos of the time within a metallic yet melodic fusion that’s as focused as it is fiery.
The band has now been reincarnated as Capture to reflect the shift in their personal lives. Throughout all their sonic evolutions, the band strives to “always be aggressive, brutal, and truthful.” Equipped with a more refined sound and wealth of experiences, Capture have released “Lost Control” as a taste of what’s to come.
