It was a wild night of nostalgia, loud guitars, and a great crowd for a Sunday night as L.A. Guns featuring Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns headlined with special guests Wildstreet and Venrez at Le Poisson Rouge in New York, New York.  Venrez was the first to take the stage.

Venrez was the first band to take the stage.  The band is composed of Ven on vocals, Jason Womack on bass, Victor Singer on drums and Gabe Maska on guitars.  The band showcases well thought out lyrics and arrangements that that have messages that people can take to heart. The guitars that Maska plays are the driving force of the band as the band serves as a nice warm-up for L.A. Guns tonight.  Check out songs such as “Hang The Predator”, “Children of the Drones” and “Devil’s Due” on YouTube.  Fans can find Venrez at www.venreztheband.com

Out of New York City, Wildstreet played lights out at Le Poisson Rouge.  The five-piece band brought their combination of glam rock with hair metal to the Le Poisson Rouge crowd and wowed the audiences with songs such as “Tennessee Cocaine” and their new single being released tomorrow entitled “Three Way Ride”.  The band doesn’t shy away from the sleaze and debauchery that the 80’s brought.  Wildstreet is composed of Eric Jayk on vocals/guitars, Jimmie Marlowe on guitars/vocals, Jonny D on bass/vocals, Dom on lead guitar/vocals and Lock on drums/vocals.  Fans can pre-save “Three Way Ride” here and check them out at their official website at www.wildstreetmusic.com

L.A. Guns featuring Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns rocked Le Poisson Rouge on this night.  They had a high energy rocker for an opener in the song “Over The Edge”.  They engaged the audience into some good crowd participation throughout the night, in particular with this song.  The rhythm and lead guitars were so on point during this song, and as Phil Lewis thanked the audience and told them “they’re getting No Mercy”, they ripped into “No Mercy”.  The guitars had a bit of speed metal elements to them and Phil sounded as good as ever.  Honestly, out of the 80’s hair metal bands, Phil sounds crisp and the most on-key out of the lot of 80’s hair metal singers still going today.  In “Sex Action”, L.A. Guns paid homage to The Rolling Stones with an outro of their mega song “Paint It Black”.  Tracii Guns swooned the audience with a guitar solo, and there was homage paid to AC/DC with the intro to “Hells Bells” as they kicked into “Never Enough”.  They closed the hour plus set with “Rip and Tear”, which allowed each band member to showcase their talents with some awesome solos.  L.A. Guns made the intimate venue feel like an arena rock show.
