(Concert Review) SEVENDUST Live at The Paramount in Huntington, New York (2/13/2019)

Editor’s Note:  We would like to welcome esteemed photographer Crios Valentino to the fold.  Crios is a photographer from New York and he has contributed as a freelance photog for numerous publications, and we are honored to have him.

On February 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day, legendary alt-metal band Sevendust took the stage in front of a packed house at The Paramount in Huntington, New York with special guests Tremonti, Cane Hill, Lullwater, and Kirra on the “All I See Is War” tour!

They kicked off the night in such an old school way with their staple song “Black”.  That intro that we all remember, they did an amazing job building up anticipation and getting the crowd to bounce.  The audience sang “Black” at the top of their lungs and you could tell that after all these years, the boys from Atlanta were still as strong as ever and determined to deliver as they always do.

They didn’t waste any time on this night as they poured into their hits such as “Praise”, “Enemy”, “Thank You”, and their ballad “Angel’s Son”.  There were a few surprises in the set that made their huge underground fanbase happy as they melted faces with “Reconnect”, “Trust”, and “Shine”.

They would come out to a crazy encore and deliver a surprise with the opener off of “Cold Day Memory” with “Splinter” before closing it off with their mosh anthem “Face To Face”, which drummer Morgan Rose certainly shined in this part.
