 Lethal Amounts, a revered gallery in Los Angeles, will be hosting an evening with John Joseph to help celebrate his recent book – The PMA Effect. The night will include a reading, signing and Q+A with fans. The event is free and open to the public and will take place on Thursday, February 21 from 7:30 – 9:30pm.
The PMA Effect teaches the methods for achieving your goals no matter how high you set the bar comes down to one vital principle: Developing a Positive Mindset. If you can change your mindset, you can change your life. PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) can sustain you through any difficult circumstances. Readers learn to deal with stress more efficiently and develop the skill set and determination to never quit at tasks. To push through fear and manifest your thoughts, hopes and dreams into reality. John Joseph is the lead singer for one of the most pivotal bands in punk/hardcore, the legendary Cro-Mags. He has written three books and competes in Ironman triathlons around the world. He remains clean and sober, as well as a staunch advocate for a plant-based diet and positive lifestyle. John’s a sought-after motivational speaker, having lectured in prisons and tough inner-city schools as a way to pay forward the gifts he’s received in life. He has inspired people around the world to live healthy, conscious and productive lives. He’s been profiled on Vice and was recently a guest on the Joe Rogan Podcast and the Rich Roll podcast.

Lethal Amounts inhabits a physical gallery space in downtown Los Angeles that features three exhibition rooms and over 2,500 sq. ft. The gallery focuses on subversive and counter culture themes throughout history, addressing the social and artistic value of underground movements while highlighting taboo topics. They showcase the extremes of individuals who have moved culture forward, living on the edge and outside of societal norms. Rock ‘n Roll of the past that has crossed over into pop culture fanaticism, street culture influences and cult hero worship. Artists who have shown in the gallery include Leee Black Childers (the house photographer for Andy Warhol’s Factory), famed punk rock photographer Edward Colver, Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Al Jourgensen, Psychic TV and more. Additional highlights include the Nick Cave Smoking exhibit, Spiritual Cramp : Christian Death exhibit and documentary launch, Shawn M. Crahan (of Slipknot’s) His Whores exhibit, an Anton LaVey event featuring an exhibit of photography and ephemera from the colorful, and notorious cultural icon, and Goodbye Pogo: The Art of John Wayne Gacy.
