Vancouver,Canada-Solo Rock/Metal artist Kelsey announces the release of her self-titled album and new video. Kelsey explains the inspiration behind her EP.
These songs are all impactful to me for different parts of my life. I I was constantly second guessing myself before I pushed forward with my music, and Shame was about that experience. Where Are You Now was written during my second break up, and it’s a song pretty much anyone can relate to. Hard to Say is a personal favorite of mine as I wrote it about my estranged relationship with my family.
The video for the first single Shame is out now and can be seen HERE. Kelsey’s self-titled EP is out now.

Kelsey Luo is a rock musician based in Vancouver, Canada with a passion for heavy music. She started her musical journey at age 5 with piano, which lead her to discover her love of singing. She picked up the guitar when she began songwriting, and is now working on her unclean vocals.
She continued her pursuits at Berklee College of Music, where she majored in Professional Music with a focus in Performance and Music Business. After graduating, she moved back to Los Angeles, where she released her EP as a solo artist with the help of audio engineer, Cesar Marenco. I write with the piano and mimic the instrumentals I hear in my head. That’s how my songwriting comes to life.
She describes her sound as rock with metal influences, with her songs being dark, passionate and honest, much as how she describes her personality. She debuted her EP at Silverlake Lounge and has performed at various venues across Los Angeles. She aims to bring together the asian community in the heavy music scene. This music scene is full of white dudes. I want to bring together the ethnic minorities in this scene and make it a community.
