“Last Dance” holds a special place in my heart”, reveals WALKER, “It was the first song I had ever written on my guitar, which was a big step for me because at that time I had just started to teach myself to play. This song came to me at a very dark time in my life and so I turned to music to help me process everything going on. The line “Can I have this last dance” kept floating around in my head, I felt there was so much imagery in that sentence. It hit me like a brick wall. I knew right then and there I had to make this song.”
“Last Dance” continues to showcase WALKER‘s “introspective music riddled with the themes of wanderlust” (as lauded by EARMILK), which we last heard in his previous single, “Rolling Stones” – another coming-of-the-age tale reminiscing about times where worries were distant and adventures were plentiful.
“Rolling Stones” was featured on Apple Music’s ‘The A-List: Singer/Songwriter’ playlist, Spotify’s ‘Folks & Friends’ official playlist and Filtr’s ‘Work From Home’ playlist, and has garnered over 249k streams and counting. The track’s accompanying music video, which is a real life documentation of WALKER and his friends on a road trip across California, can be seen HERE.
Stay tuned in the coming coming weeks for a special, intimate video for “Last Dance”!
