LIVVIA Converses with Madness To Creation on “Catch A Body”, her Biggest Influence, and Migos!

Editor’s Note:  I can’t imagine being an emerging pop star while studying Economics in college.  Yet that is what emerging pop star LIVVIA is doing as she has already shared the stage with the likes of Jessie J., Meghan Trainor, and The Jonas Brothers.  LIVVIA has also devoted her 2017 with Rock Mafia, which is a songwriting team, to get her ready for her highly anticipated 2018 EP release.  LIVVIA writes her music in the hope that it empowers the listener and leaves a positive message to the listener.  Her single entitled “Catch A Body” features Quavo of Migos, already boasts over one million hits on YouTube.  Fans can find LIVVIA at the following locations:

Madness To Creation:  Thank you so much for taking the time to interview with me for Madness To Creation, tell us about the moment where you decided you wanted to be a singer.

LIVVIA:  I can’t point to a specific moment because it’s been my ultimate dream for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been interested in what goes into the creation of a pop song, but I really started writing my own songs at 13. From there, it’s been nonstop.

Madness To Creation:  Biggest influence in music.

LIVVIA:  My favorite band has always been Coldplay. I definitely feel their influence in my writing. These days, we are so lucky to be exposed to so many different styles of music. I’m constantly finding inspiration with new artists. For example, I’ve been listening to a lot of Sabrina Claudio lately.

Madness To Creation:  You can tour with any musician alive or dead, who would you tour with?

LIVVIA:  Coldplay for sure!

Madness To Creation:  How is school going so far?  What are you studying?

LIVVIA:  Great! I’m almost finished. I’m studying economics at UC Berkeley and loving it!

Madness To Creation:  Biggest challenge you face balancing school with a music career.

LIVVIA:  Logistics I suppose. It definitely takes some maneuvering, but blocking out dates for midterms and finals and trying my best to schedule meetings and recording sessions over the weekend helps. The economics department at Cal has been very understanding of my tour schedule and my music team has always been supportive of my academic pursuits.

Madness To Creation:  Tell us about your collaboration with Quavo of Migos, what was it like working with Quavo?

LIVVIA:  Quavo is just amazing. What he did with “Catch A Body” couldn’t be more perfect. The fact that he heard the song and wanted to be a part of it was so awesome.

Madness To Creation:  You released a music video for “Catch A Body”, tell us about that song and tell us about the video.

LIVVIA:  When I wrote the song I envisioned a video in the style of an action movie like James Bond or John Wick, and bringing that idea to life was so fulfilling. I got a lot of bruises in the process but it was absolutely worth it! I had the best time with that fight scene.

Madness To Creation:  Favorite and least favorite thing about making a music video.

LIVVIA:  Favorite: bringing my concept to life. It turned out even better than I could have hoped. It was such an ambition concept. I don’t think I have a least favorite part. Maybe the fact that I had a midterm a couple days later and I fell a bit behind on studying! But it all worked out!

Madness To Creation:  Plans for 2018?

LIVVIA:  Promoting “Catch a Body” of course. I also have a handful of songs that I can’t wait to share but I can’t reveal too much quite yet. I have a couple exciting collaborations in the works!

Madness To Creation:  Give us a message to the fans and where people can find you!
