Post Modern Releases Music Video for “Speak Soft”!

Ambient rock quartet Post Modern from Columbus, OH has debuted their new single and music video “Speak Soft.” The atmospheric and melodic track would be right at home on a playlist with bands like Brand New and Circa Survive, while maintaining a certain amount of pop sensibility. The video (originally premiering with New Noise Magazine) is bathed in crimson red and paints a picture of the lyrics, which deal with the loss of faith and the inner conflict that can result from efforts of redemption.

I wrote this song describing my relationship with God, and trying to regain the communication and connection that has seemed to erode over the years,” says vocalist/guitarist Matty McClelland. “However, it can describe a loss and desire to reconnect with anyone, like a friend, lover, or parent. ‘Speak Soft’ is a personal song for me specifically, but I wanted almost anyone to be able to relate to it and the struggle it describes.

The band recently completed a run of dates with Dreamcatcher (featuring the former guitarist of The Dangerous Summer), with plans to hit the road again soon. “Speak Soft” is available now on iTunes and Spotify, and is a follow-up to their latest EP The Current.

The vision that I have for this site was that I was getting weary of sites that evolve from the original message to what I refer to as "tabloid magazine stand at the grocery store checkouts" kind of sites. My heart is with the underground bands and for the bands/artists that strive to hit that dream, and they spend thousands of dollars on equipment just to play a $100 show!
