Charcoal Tongue are the latest addition to the Spinefarm Records roster. The Texas-based band has dropped the new song “Fix Me.” Listen to the song by watching the video here.

The song has only just arrived and it’s already turning heads. “Fix Me” is being featured in the SiriusXM Octane “Test Drive” poll this week.

Charcoal Tongue formed in 2015 after vocalist Chris Mora‘s suicide attempt. As a result, the band’s forthcoming, as-yet untitled Spinefarm debut plays out like the journal of a person’s thoughts as they navigate a downward spiral of depression.

“The whole year I spent writing… took me through a lot of different emotions, since I was coming off that experience,”  Mora said. “‘Fix Me’ is one of the darker songs on the record. We felt like this track displays a lot of the key elements that make up the Charcoal Tongue sound.”

For the album, the band worked with Josh Schroeder (KING 810, The Color Morale).

Charcoal Tongue are Christopher Mora — Vocals; Luciano Islas — Bass; Matt Guajardo — Guitar; and
Jacob Navaira — Keys/Vocals.
